There is something romantic and at the same time adventurous about spending the night and camping in the Biesbosch. When all the day trippers have left, the water birds settle down and the nature reserve quiets down, other inhabitants of this area come into action.
The Biesbosch is known for its population of beavers. When darkness falls, they come out to look for food and tree roots among the reeds. In clear weather it is therefore recommended to sit in front of the hiker’s cabin and enjoy the enormous starry sky and listen if you might hear their rustling.
Whoever visits the Biesbosch is really out of it. During the day you naturally want to get on the water with a canoe, sloop or sup and ‘get lost’ in the creeks and rivers of this area. Controlled getting lost, because of course you take a sailing route with you when you explore the area from our marina. Nature lovers can not only go here for fun on the water. There is more to experience in the area. You can enjoy walking and cycling here, or visit the Biesbosch museum.
After such a wonderful day, in which your senses have feasted on nature and the fresh air, it is nice to ‘come home’ in our marina. The doors of our café are open for you, for a snack and a drink. Imagine that you don’t have to go home afterwards, but can spend the night in one of our hikers’ cabins…
Does the idea of camping in the Biesbosch appeal to you? Then our hiker’s cabin is really something for you. After a day full of effort, you can relax in the hiker’s cabin, which is equipped with a sofa bed and a table with chairs. For the cold nights there is an electric heating. You yourself provide a comforter or sleeping bag; after all, it’s still camping.
After such a nice night, you want to be able to start your day with a full stomach. Therefore, you can use our breakfast service in the morning so you can have breakfast in the Pod. This is only possible in high season.
During your stay in the Pod, you can use the sanitary facilities available at the marina.
Do you use the hiker’s cabin? Then keep this in mind.
– Pets are definitely not allowed.
– On the day of arrival, the Pod is at your disposal from 15:00.
